Gold Star Network (GSN) started building our capacity for us through education. We have had a lot of CMEs which has helped a lot in updating our knowledge in management of HIV and other diseases.
A cluster of 23 private doctors on Mombasa Island who have enrolled over 150 HIV patients on HIV care treatment can now access commodities supplied by KEMSA for their eligible cases through an anchor facility managed by Dr. Francis Waudo.
Egerton University Hospital is a busy campus facility providing services to a large student and neighboring community population. Before GSN’s support, the facility only offered voluntary HIV counselling and testing at one point at start of engagement.
Through Gold Star Network, Gold Star Kenya has demonstrated that the private sector can provide comprehensive HIV prevention, care and treatment to complement the public sector.
